DiesesBuch ist deshalb für Studenten geeignet, die die für das Vordiplom nötigen Kenntnisse haben. Die Erfahrung hat gezeigt, daß der Stoff bequem in vierundzwanzig Vorlesungen zu erarbeiten ist. Das Buch bietet auch Übungsaufgaben unterschiedlicher Schwierigkeits grade und Lösungen. Beim Schreiben dieses Buches habe ich aus vielen verschiedenen Quellen geschöpft, und es ist mir unmöglich, allen zu danken. Aber es trägt, so hoffe ich, dazu bei, den alten Gedanken wiederzubeleben, daß die Physik vor allem „Naturphilosophie“ sein sollte.
