Bereits vor 6 Jahren erschien der AQUALOG South American Cichlids IV, der alle Diskus- und Skalar-Varianten beinhaltet. Die Diskusbuntbarsche wurden von einem der international renommiertesten Diskuskenner, nämlich Manfred Göbel, bearbeitet. Seine Zusammenstellung war derart vollständig, dass bis heute kaum nennswert viele neue Varianten bekannt wurden. Das heisst jedoch nicht, dass die Diskuszucht seither zum Stillstand gekommen wäre. Im Gegenteil, einige Zuchtformen, die zur Zeit des Druckes von South American Cichlids IV nur ansatzweise und als wahre Exoten in den Shows zu sehen waren, dominieren heute den Markt, während andere, vor 6 Jahren sehr beliebte Varianten, heute nur noch gelegentlich gezüchtet werden. So haben wir uns entschlossen, anstelle von Ergänzungsbögen für South American Cichlids IV zunächst ein Extra zu produzieren, in dem Ihnen die jeweils 3 bestplatzierten Fische der jeweiligen Bewertungsklassen auf den großen Shows von 1999 bis 2004 präsentiert werden. Die wahren Diskus-Fans haben somit erstmals die Möglichkeit, in einem handlichen Heft alle Sieger der letzten Jahre vergleichend zu betrachten.

The Hypervelocity Impact Symposium (HVIS) is a biennial event that serves as the principal forum for the discussion, interchange, and presentation of the basic physics of high- and hypervelocity impact and related scientific and technical areas. Hypervelocity impact is defined as the impact regime in which shock effects are important. The 11th HVIS was held from April 11 to 15, 2010, in Freiburg, Germany. Topics comprised: 1. The related double-blind reviewed papers are all published in the Symposium's proceedings, which are the major archival source of papers published in this field.
