Engaging Enemies explores the British left's reactions to Friedrich Hayek, a key figure in Thatcherism, while reimagining socialism in the context of neoliberalism. The book delves into the ideological battles and offers a critical analysis of how leftist thought can adapt to contemporary challenges posed by neoliberal policies. Through this examination, it seeks to revitalize socialist discourse and provide new insights into political strategy and theory.

Used for a variety of purposes, from work to pleasure and many things in between, the boat has sparked innovation in the minds of people for thousands of years The Boat--a vessel for escape, adventure, trade, or travel. This is a mode of transport of infinite variety and one that inspires serious passion, whether made of workmanlike bolted steel, sleek modern fiberglass, or lovingly hand-burnished timber. Photographer Simon Griffiths has an eye for the beauty of ordinary things; in Shack he showed us the eccentric living spaces and holiday homes that Australians have made out of simple dwellings. In Shed he peeked inside some of Australia's most intriguing sheds. • Brown furniture is back. People want warmth and individuality back in their houses. As such, the kitchen dresser is having a renaissance. These beautiful pieces are overtaking clean-lined kitchens to create more original spaces, alive with personality and rich in history. Made from Welsh oak or elm, Tasmanian Huon pine or reclaimed timber, the humble dresser - originally built for food preparation and storage - has become the treasured centrepiece of many a home. The art of the dresser is often in the collection it holds: vintage china, Staffordshire figures, majolica, pewter, blue-and-white transfer ware, breadboards, family treasures, the old and the everyday. In The Kitchen Dresser, photographer Simon Griffiths captures the beauty and the charm of this iconic piece of furniture that is at once functional, ornamental and deeply heartwarming.

    • In Australia, shacks have become our protest against the brick veneer, the place where we unwind on holiday, the workshop that feeds our soul. Photographer Simon Griffiths has traveled the countryside, from Jericho in Tasmania to the remote coast of Broome, to bring us images of shacks that are both familiar and exotic. We meet the shack dwellers--a mix of artists, environmentalists, fishermen, home builders, and socialites--and experience the pleasure of inhabiting spaces that are at once monuments to self-expression and symbols of old-fashioned common sense. Beautifully put-together, Shack is a book that takes us back in history, out into the remote reaches of the famous Australian landscape and inwards to connect with our common desire for retreat and renewal.
