Kolektivní monografie, která se snaží o interdisciplinární dialog, kde společným základem je etika. První část - Biblicko-etická interpretace - obsahuje studie biblistické, studie s přesahem do systematické teologie, judaistiky, religionistiky, filozofie, sociologie a patristiky. Druhá část - Eticko-teologická interpretace - má větší přesah do do historie, literatury, sociologie a politiky. Většina autorů se řídí reformační zásadou, tzn. že autoři vychází z biblického textu jako základu pro další reflexe.
Autorka se v kniha se zabývá nejen životem, ale především dílem severočeského kněze Antona Krombholze (1790-1896).
Sborník lze označit za symbolické bilancování dvacetiletého působení Bedřicha Noska jako vědce, hebraisty a především pedagoga. Mezi pětadvaceti příspěvky nalezneme jak studie a laudatia od jeho kolegů z HTF (prof. Lášek, prof. Kučera) a spolupracovníků z ŽM a katedry hebraistiky (doc. Šedinová), tak i příspěvky od jejich žáků, kteří se již stihli zapsat do dějin české hebraistiky a judaistiky, jmenovitě dr. Holubová a dr. Boušek. Za pozornost ale stojí i příspěvky "nejmladší" generace budoucích vědců, doktorandů judaistiky, religionistiky a hebraistiky (Ivan Kohout, Marek Vinklát a Markéta Rubešová). Židovská studia nemají ani po dvaceti letech svobody na růžích ustláno. O to více je třeba ocenit ty, kteří svým entusiasmem, pílí a kvalitou předkládaných prací ukazují, že judaistika a hebraistika v České republice bude mít důstojné pokračovatele, a to i díky odborné a pedagogické práci Bedřicha Noska.
