We here on Sol-Earth are a political non-entity who stand far removed from the going-ons in the metropolitan regions of our galaxy, where there are more worlds, peoples, and stories than anyone can imagine. The Enlightenment Protocols series allows Sol-Earthers to begin to understand some of the political, economic, and strategic realities in the known central and outer metropolitan regions of our galaxy and their root causes. 'Tribes' describes the events that led up to Task Force Draken's mission in our region of the galaxy. Discovering the people of Sol-Earth was not Commodore Morgan's primary mission. 'Tribes' sets the stage for the series of seven historical dramas that describe events beginning 400-odd years ago, between the Commonwealth and their contemporaries, that affect political and strategic events in our galaxy to this day.
