People awake each morning with many of the same problems they had the day before. While people are dressing they listen to the radio or watch TV, more bad news through the media is all they can see. While some people have breakfast and read a paper when their feet hit the floor get more bad news before they walk out the front door. American people have not under gone such fear and anger since the release of 'Birth of a Nation' in “1915” when America was ripped apart by racism and White supremacy. According to Ebert, R., “'Birth of a Nation' has long been one of the embarrassments of film scholarship.” (Ebert) African Americans were depicted as a beast, Ebert, R., also “It can't be ignored and yet it was regarded as outrageously racist even at a time when racism was hardly a household word.” (Ebert)

All eclipse are not an events in the solar system related to the sun and moon. Clouds covering the sun before the storm or the deeds of man eclipse the light placing life and prosperity in darkness. God shines heaven's light on the courageous people of Puerto Rico granting them salvation from their suffering from a devastating storm. Bless the thousands of people who hearts are filled with compassion for their fellow man. Puerto Rico has a long journey back from a catastrophic event like nothing the world has ever seen. The American people are at their best when they unite mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually for those in need. God bless all those who put their personal differences aside to humble themselves in prayer and deed for humanity. The American Main-land is still recovering from a hurricane just two weeks earlier on the Gulf Coast and still had the compassion to reach out to others in need. We can only pray the country holds together facing man made catastrophes where dark deeds put out the light of equality and justice. God bless America. Charles A. Royals

We must come to terms there is no argument or excuse for neglect or abuse of any child. Parents, guardians, care takers and family members who neglect or abuse children are no more than criminals. This includes professional authority figures as police officers, teachers, and day care providers guilty of abusing or molesting children. The world appears to have become a very dangerous place for children, but has it always been this way? Many times victims of violence are children or who will never know what it means to become a parent and have children or by no fault of her own. How will our children see the generations before them? Regardless of whom the victim is everyone is someone's child and all lives matter.Charles A. January First 2018 everyone woke up after a night of celebration to find themselves in a country in turmoil. The better life some people believed to be the answer to a dream turned out to be a nightmare. Millions of citizens were still underinsured or uninsured with over thirteen million more losing coverage in the very near future. People who were unemployed remain unemployed because the jobs they qualify for do not exist. The American social safety net is under attack, DOCA and Chips are not funded and under attack, sexual assault allegations and White supremacy are on the rise, and racism has resurfaced with a vengeance, and an imminent threat of nuclear war has the country at risk of desolation. America is now a country without reliable leadership and appears to be in the hands of a person who appears to be a narcissistic authoritarian racist. Division, hatred, and lies are the marching orders from many in the government, and your family is left to suffer. America is truly in the hands of God
