Armed with a degree in one hand and badge in the other, (Doc) Marshall N. White balances law, race, and religious beliefs in a fight to keep right what matters most. "That's what Doc did for me -made me realize that human beings are human beings and a big badge and a big gun can only make good targets, not good cops." Doc' s commitment to his community goes without question and the journey he would take brings about a loss and unanswered questions in the minds of those who loved him most. His death continues to make an impact in the lives of many people more than 40 years after being killed in the line of duty in the fall of 1963.
