Die Diskussion der ethischen Aspekte der Marktwirtschaft hat laut dem Autor, gestützt auf Max Weber, herausragende politische Bedeutung. Es ist jedoch bedauerlich, dass es bislang keine Theorie gibt, die eine gründliche Auseinandersetzung mit den Vor- und Nachteilen der Marktwirtschaft aus ethischer Perspektive ermöglicht.
