for the Good Times is the story of two people who shared a lifetime that began when they met, still in their teens, and is now recounted by just one of them. Had the other survived instead, the narrative would, no doubt, be shaded by differences in individual perception, yet it is as true a tale as the mind of the writer can conceive, told in passages of prose and poetry.

Anderson's polished and heart-rending poetry reflects his humanity, creativity, vitality and depth of thought imbued with his enticing sense of humor. Both poet and scientist, he dwells upon physical and metaphysical concerns in a constant search for understanding of the human condition. -Dr. Cecilia Castro Lee, author Anderson's second book of poetry, Potholes in Memory Lane, is well worth the wait. But forget the potholes. This is a richly rewarding ride along a smoothly paved poetic passage. Here are fresh, luxuriant offerings in a variety of styles. -Mr. Chuck Wanager, author Potholes in Memory Lane is beautifully honest. The poems are thoughtful, grounded in everyday experiences and realistic. Full of artistry and wisdom, the "Dolly" poems are my favorites. -Dr. Eleanor Wolfe Hoomes, author Richard Anderson's poetry embodies a range of forms, subjects and emotions. The variety of emotions and thoughts, from the hilarious to the thoughtful to the profoundly moving will keep the reader turning pages, following the ebb and flow of the poems. -Dr. Robert C. • Drama, Hardship, Mystery, Adventure. The stories in Family Album are all of these and more. They reach back three generations into the past and conclude with a modern-day love story memoir. Photographs spanning three centuries suffuse the stories with enhanced reality. Bits of American and World history are woven into the true stories of individuals and families that immigrated to America from Norway, Sweden, Pomerania, Mecklenburg (modern-day Germany) and England, immigrants who eventually found homes from shore to shore in America and around the globe from Sweden to New Zealand. But Family Album does still more. It provides insights and reveals intricacies and intrigues one may encounter while engaged in genealogical research. In real-life examples, it illustrates the thrill of genealogical discovery. For Anderson family genealogists, extensive appendices contain pages and pages of genealogical references on which to build an ever expanding family tree.
