Robbie Hastings, almost nine, was given a wolf's head cane by his grandmother four days before she died. The cane is ancient, with a solid gold head and nasty fangs. When he holds it he feels a buzzing sound and she tells him not to sell it or give it away. He will learn how to use it as time goes by. Strange things occur when he holds the cane, both good and bad. He feels more powerful but afraid that something terrible might be just around the corner. He hears weird talk in his head urging him to do bad things and feels the cane is evil. He wants to get rid of it but doesn't know how. What will happen to him if he succeeds?
