Existence is a constant reminder, according to Osho; one just needs to be sensitive and alert to pick up the messages. The selected quotes in one of Osho's most accessible books create an urgency very much in tune with a growing worldwide awareness that everything is not right with humanity and our beautiful planet Earth. These powerful meditations cover a wide range of subjects including love, death, friendship, and hate; together they remind us that we have only one moment in our hands, and that we must live it or leave it unlived.

Taoist teachings on life and existence—presented by one of the best-known and provocative spiritual teachers of our time In this unique series of discourses, Osho unravels The Secret of the Golden Flowers, an ancient text that he describes as the essence of Taoism. It is the core of all religions and spiritual paths, belonging to no one and belonging to all. More than 2,500 years old, this remarkable text continues to be as relevant today as it was to its contemporaries. Osho demystifies the important terms used by the Chinese mystic Lu Tsu and shares his meditation exercises. He also outlines the qualities of animus and anima—our male and female energies—as delineated by Lu Tsu, explaining the importance of their relationships inside each of us. He also provides many valuable techniques and gives specific instructions on the Taoist Golden Light Meditation, which involves harmonizing the male and female elements and transmuting sexual energy. A timeless collection of Osho’s talks on The Secret of the Golden Flower, this book will show you how to not remain a seed but to become what the Chinese called ‘a golden flower.’ Called the ‘one thousand-petaled lotus’ in India, the golden flower is a symbol that represents perfection, totality. It represents the actualization of potential—the beauty, the grandeur, and the splendor of being.

Liberation,' says Osho, 'means coming back home.' According to Osho, 'Life is nothing but an expression of silence.' We come out of silence, but then lose our way. In order to experience this silence again and attain liberation, we need to rediscover the path back to our pure being. Only then can the cycle be complete; then will we be able to reach kaivalya, a state which Osho tells us is higher than either moksha or nirvana. The key is simple: we must not identify with our bodies and minds, as all identification is outwards, and we are going on an inner journey. And Osho emphasizes, as always, the importance of combining intelligence, awareness and humour on this journey. In addition to speaking on the Yoga sutras of Patanjali, Osho addresses questions about life and how to live it without fear of pain, old age or death. Osho's answers are never the same, for he doesn't answer-he responds. As he has often said himself, 'Your questions may be the same, but the answers of a Buddha always have a new nuance to them, a new flavour, a new fragrance.

Osho thrusts his sword into the heart of the matter of what we collectively call "Human Rights."One of the struggles we face as human beings is how to cope with, how to bring light to, how to dissolve the roots of the perverse and incomprehensible horrors - physical, psychological, spiritual - that we seem capable of inflicting on one another. What are the roots of wars, of torture, of murder and hatred and our all-too-easy dehumanization of the "other"? He quotes the language of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to expose the hollowness of the words. Why is our human reality on this planet so far off from these beautifully worded declarations? Osho exposes the hypocrisy and the vested interests that underlie the core of that document and so many others like it. But he doesn't stop there. He challenges us to create a new language, a new narrative, a transformative and liberating vision of what it means to treat one another with awareness, with love, and with respect. In our individual lives, as in the lives and generations of our society, there is a revolution, a transformation that happens alongside each change that happens in consciousness - individual and collective - as our technology continues to bring us (potentially) all together into a "global village." And alongside it, the change in consciousness that is now required of us, as a common humanity living on a smallish and rather beautiful, sacred planet. To see ourselves as God's creation, if you will. Or Gaia, or whatever term of oneness most appeals to you. This small volume is an opening to the revolution in consciousness that is so urgently needed for our times
