Floral diversity is significantly higher in the buffer zone community forest (BZCF) compared to the community forest (CF) managed under different regulations in Chitwan, Nepal. The BZCF's management, aligned with the National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act 1972, proves more effective for conserving floral diversity than the CF practices under the Forest Act 1993. The findings suggest a need to adjust CF management strategies, which currently focus on production and livelihood development, to better support biodiversity conservation.
