Focusing on the ecological significance of sewage treatment plants in Khartoum State, this study investigates their role as vital habitats for bird diversity, particularly for African migratory species. It highlights the lack of comprehensive research on the environmental impact of these facilities and the limited data available from sporadic censuses by national NGOs. By identifying and documenting the bird species that inhabit these unique environments, the study aims to enhance understanding of avifauna in these crucial habitats.
