    Martin Montgomery est Professeur Émérite de Linguistique Littéraire à l'Université de Macao, en Chine. Il a précédemment occupé les postes de Doyen de la Faculté des Arts et des Sciences Humaines et de Chef des Départements d'Anglais et de Communication. Il est également Professeur Invité à l'Université de Strathclyde, au Royaume-Uni, où il a dirigé le Département d'Études Anglaises et a été Directeur du Centre Écossais d'Études Journalistiques.
