Peter F. Anson

    Peter Frederick Anson était un artiste marin et auteur de nombreux livres sur la vie des pêcheurs et les ordres religieux. Pendant quatorze ans, il fut frère dans un monastère anglican, avant de rejoindre les Cisterciens dans l'Église catholique romaine. Arrivé dans le Moray Firth, il passa six ans auprès des pêcheurs de Buckie et vingt ans à Macduff, où il s'impliqua dans le mouvement national écossais. Son livre le plus célèbre est Fishing Boats and Fisher Folk on the East Coast of Scotland, mais son Fisher Folklore est également un ouvrage de référence.
