Soon, Sabrina falls in love with the doctor’s assistant Annie, and also befriends his wife Catherine, who is dealing with her own neurotic misgivings about not being able to breast-feed her baby. With this new work, Ruhl once again uses playful symbolism and lyrical language as she makes seemingly effortless thematic leaps—crafting a play with tremendous critical and audience appeal, in her singular theatrical voice. Sarah Ruhl’s plays include Dead Man’s Cell Phone, The Clean House (a Pulitzer Prize finalist), Passion Play, and Eurydice, all of which have been widely produced throughout the United States and internationally. Mit diesem Band werden anhand der Begriffe Mehrsprachigkeit, Diversität und Internationalität Themenfelder aufgegriffen, die für die Erziehungswissenschaft von zunehmender Bedeutung sind und die Forschungs- und Lehrtätigkeiten von Cristina Allemann-Ghionda auszeichnen. Ihr ist diese Publikation gewidmet. Die versammelten Beiträge stellen aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven der Disziplin aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse vor und vermitteln einen Eindruck von den gegenwärtigen Fachdiskussionen der international und interkulturell vergleichenden Erziehungswissenschaft. Im ersten Teil dieses Bandes wird der Zusammenhang von Mehrsprachigkeit, Interkulturalität und Bildung, im zweiten von Diversität und Professionalität und im dritten von Internationalisierung, Hochschule und Erziehungswissenschaft thematisiert. Finnland ist seit dem PISA-Schock ein ›beliebtes‹ Reiseziel für Bildungsforscher/innen und -politiker/innen. Forschungsprojekte zum Stellenwert von interkultureller oder diversitätssensibler Bildung und Erziehung sind hingegen selten. In einem international vergleichenden Forschungsdesign werden mittels zweier Fallstudien und einer Mehrebenenanalyse komplementär zu den Inhaltsanalysen der intendierten Bildungsziele und -inhalte auch die Alltagspraktiken der pädagogischen Akteur/innen und ihre Sichtweisen auf Interkulturalität, Diversität und Inklusion rekonstruiert. Die Frage nach der Bedeutung inklusiver oder trennender Bildungsstrukturen im Kontext von Diversität bildet dabei den übergeordneten Rahmen.
