In effetti, le figure di stile sono anche una forma di interpretazione: grazie a queste, un nuovo senso, una nuova significazione ed una nuova possibile interpretazione del testo sono possibili. Questo lavoro si occupera di identificare alcune figure retoriche del romanzo, di analizzarle e sopratutto di scoprire in che maniera l'utilizzazione di queste figure di stile porta un nuovo senso e nuove potenziali interpretazioni alla frase ed al racconto, e questo grazie al concetto del conceptual blending. Si identificheranno anche quali sono gli effetti che producono il nuovo senso o la nuova interpretazione delle figure teoriche sul lettore. Si sviluppera il concetto di conceptual blending in una prima parte teorica dopo una breve definizione e spiegazione delle figure retoriche e della differenza tra significazione, significato e senso, dato che questo lavoro sara confrontato a questi tre termini. La seconda parte di questo lavoro, piu pratica, sara centrata sull'analisi concreta delle figure di stile scelte nei capitoli dell'Orlando Furioso.
