Set against the backdrop of the 1951 college basketball scandal, the story follows Mack Davis, a black All-American player whose dreams are shattered by point-fixing. Forced to return to his childhood Brooklyn neighborhood, Mack grapples with the sport that once uplifted him. However, his genuine passion for basketball reignites as he embarks on an ironic comeback, joining an all-black team to compete for a B'nai B'rith championship in a local synagogue, surrounded by a diverse group of unlikely allies.
