Multicriteria Decision Making and Fuzzy Systems are rapidly evolving fields in management, engineering, and beyond. The German Working Group on Decision Theory and Practice within the Gesellschaft für Operations Research (GOR) organizes an annual workshop to bridge theory and applications. In 2006, this event was held in collaboration with the German Working Group on Fuzzy Systems, Neural Networks, and Artificial Intelligence, attracting over thirty participants from universities, research institutes, and companies in Germany and abroad. The successful integration of these two working groups fostered a rich exchange of specific research and ideas across disciplines. Discussions highlighted potential areas for collaborative interdisciplinary projects. The topics covered showcased the latest advancements in theory, methodology, and applications related to Multicriteria Decision Making and Fuzzy Systems. The proceedings reflect the content of the lectures, slightly modified for clarity.
