The least squares spectral collocation method for incompressible flows
    • In the present thesis, a new type of a least-squares scheme (the so-called “Least-Squares Spectral Collocation Method (LSSCM)”) is developed and investigated to simulate incompressible flows and improve the accuracy compared to other least-squares schemes. The governing equations for unsteady incompressible flows with constant dynamic viscosity are the so called Navier-Stokes equations. This nonlinear, time-dependent system of partial differential equations describes the motion of incompressible fluids for relatively large viscosities. Nav
