Doch als rechtsradikale Gruppen wie die National Front versuchten, die Cockney Rejects für ihre Zwecke zu vereinnahmen, war für die Band der Spaß vorbei. Stinky Turner überlebte all diese Herausforderungen und schildert seine Erlebnisse in seiner Autobiographie. Jeff Turner wuchs im Londoner East End auf, als Sohn eines Hafenarbeiters in einer beengten Sozialwohnung mit sieben Geschwistern. Um sich zu behaupten, begann er mit dem Boxen und gewann 31 von 39 Kämpfen. Doch seinen Namen machte er durch die Musik. Mit seinem Bruder Mickey formte er die Cockney Rejects und eroberte die Szene im Sturm. Ihre rebellische Haltung zog vor allem die Hooligans der ICF an, was regelmäßig zu Krawallen führte. Als das ultrarechte British Movement bei ihren Konzerten auftauchte, griffen Jeff und die Band ein. Schließlich eskalierte die Situation innerhalb der Band, und Jeff geriet in finanzielle Schwierigkeiten. Jetzt hat er die Gelegenheit, seine Geschichte zu erzählen.
