Towards intercultural communication congruence in Sino-African organisational contexts
    • The global landscape of contemporary businesses has heightened the importance of intercultural communication effectiveness, as organisations strive to overcome communication challenges between home and host countries. Despite existing theories and research aimed at addressing these challenges, their persistence in certain contexts indicates potential shortcomings. This study focuses on the Sino-African organisational context, proposing several frameworks to enhance intercultural communication effectiveness. These frameworks culminate in a hybrid intercultural communication congruence framework designed to achieve intercultural communication congruence (IC congruence) in Sino-African settings. This work is essential for academics interested in developing theories related to intercultural communication and organisational management in Africa. The frameworks and methodologies presented foster academic debate and raise questions for future research. Additionally, the book offers valuable insights into intercultural communication in Sino-African contexts, appealing to managers, consultants, and trainers in Chinese organisations in Africa, as well as those involved in cross-cultural management. By introducing new concepts to the discourse, this study represents the first comprehensive inquiry into intercultural communication within Sino-African business relationships in an organisational context.
