    • The book by Michael Meredith and Hilary Sample from MOS Architects is currently exhibited in the US pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016 and is exclusively published by AADR, now available for orders. Cities shape our lives, resources, interactions, and identities. Architects have historically used the metaphor of theater to depict the city, presenting it as a stage for various narratives. However, in today's world, we find ourselves socializing in diverse contexts, both on and offstage. This raises questions about the role of the city when fundamental urban elements—streets, buildings, facades, and addresses—are transformed or replaced by technology. The work is a playful exploration of urban alternatives, moving beyond traditional mapping and isolated architectural typologies. MOS envisions a scenario where the city is omnipresent. The book includes essays by notable contributors such as Jack Self, Co-Curator of the British Pavilion; T. Conrad Therrien, Curator of Architecture and Digital Initiatives at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation; and Ana Miljački, critic and Associate Professor of Architecture at MIT.
