Le type de démocratie directe suisse, qui n'a d'équivalent dans aucun autre pays, est-il un facteur avantageux pour le développement et le fonctionnement du processus de prise de décision en Pologne ?La thèse de ce travail affirme que l'introduction d'instruments de démocratie directe en Pologne : référendum, initiative populaire et veto populaire, est possible et qu'elle constituerait un progrès pour le système politique polonais et pour la société en Pologne.Ainsi, la population commencerait à se sentir coresponsable du présent et de l'avenir du pays. D'autre part, ceux qui ont été plutôt passifs jusqu'à présent auraient le sentiment d'être appréciés et nécessaires, ce qui raviverait leur intérêt pour la politique.

Due to the challenges that modern representative democracy is facing, citizens and politicians of various countries are looking for new solutions and ways to ensure the optimal functioning of their political and decision making system. In this context, Switzerland appears to be a country relatively immune to the current crisis. Why is that? As a direct democracy where the rule of the people remains the fundamental principle, it provides its citizens with instruments: referendum, popular initiative, popular veto, which allow them to resolve any problems that arise both on the national and local level. The essential characteristic of the Swiss system, which is also its main strength, is that unlike other European democracies it grants its citizens full power over their homeland, making them the actual sovereign. The author discusses various aspects of the Swiss model of democracy and suggests that it offers the best solutions for the optimal development of any country. It is the first work on this subject, it is certainly worth reading!

Der Schweizer Finanzbankensektor wird als stark reguliert beschrieben, wobei die Regulierung sowohl den Verbraucherschutz als auch die Stabilität des Sektors zum Ziel hat. Die Weltfinanzkrise hat internationale Diskussionen über Regulierungsmethoden angestoßen, während in der Schweiz Kritik an verschiedenen Aspekten der Bankenregulierung, wie Kapitalanforderungen und Vergütungspolitik, laut wird. Ein bisher vernachlässigtes Thema ist der Einfluss der direkten Demokratie auf diesen Regulierungsprozess, welches in der vorliegenden Arbeit angemessen analysiert werden soll.

Die Arbeit analysiert die Einführung schweizerischer Instrumente direkter Demokratie in Polen und deren potenziellen Einfluss auf den Entscheidungsprozess. Kontynuowany natomiast będzie przez Katedrę Pedagogiki Specjalnej Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego.

W książce prof. Mirosława Matyi pt. Szwajcarska demokracja bezpośrednia szansa dla Polski? przedstawiony został system polityczny Szwajcarii oparty na demokracji bezpośredniej, czyli woli ludu. Autor pisze o demokratycznym fenomenie szwajcarskiego ustroju politycznego, który jest unikatowy w skali światowej. Mirosław Matyja opisuje uwarunkowania historyczno-instytucjonalne szwajcarskiej demokracji bezpośredniej, analizuje najważniejsze instytucje państwowe i opisuje cechy funkcjonalne i dysfunkcjonalne bo takowe też występują demokracji w wydaniu helweckim. Bardzo ciekawy jest fragment książki, w którym podjęta została próba analizy zastosowania szwajcarskich rozwiązań systemowo-ustrojowych na polskim gruncie politycznym. Książka zawiera szereg informacji nieznanych dotąd Czytelnikowi, napisana jest przystępnym językiem iwzbogacona licznymi przykładami wziętymi z życia.

Die vorliegende wirtschaftspolitologische Untersuchung befasst sich mit dem Einfluss der Vereinigung der Industrie- und Arbeitgeberverbände Europas (UNICE) auf den Entscheidungsprozess der Europäischen Union. Wie funktioniert der europäische Lobbyismus? Welche Funktionen und Zielsetzungen hat die UNICE und welche Einflussmethoden benutzt sie als konstitutives Element im europäischen Integrationsprozess? Welche EU-Organe werden von diesem Verband primär beeinflusst und inwieweit ist die Einflussnahme institutionalisiert? Kann man die lobbyistische Tätigkeit der UNICE messen bzw. abwägen? Welches sind die Einflussdeterminanten und wie kann man sie steuern? Das vorliegende Buch informiert über die spezifische Position der UNICE in Europa. Zugleich versteht es sich als Beitrag zur generellen Problematik des Lobbyismus in der EU und ganz allgemein zum europäischen Integrationsprozess.

Der Autor beschreibt Entstehung, Kampf und Internierung der 2. polnischen Infanterieschützen-Division und untersucht die völkerrechtlichen Grundlagen der Internierung. Historiker führen eine lebhafte Diskussion über die Rolle der polnischen Streitkräfte in Westeuropa im Zweiten Weltkrieg und nach dem Krieg. Bis dato behandelten sie jedoch die 2. polnische Infanterieschützen-Division, ihre Aktivität in der Schweiz sowie das Schicksal der internierten Soldaten und Offiziere nach dem Krieg nur marginal. Der Autor geht dieser eher untypischen Geschichte der militärischen Einheit im Vergleich zu anderen Einheiten der polnischen Streitkräfte im Westen nach.
