This book is an analysis of most of the “Subjective Spirit” section of Hegel’s Encyclopedia. It leaves out what are by far the most familiar parts of that section, the treatment of self-consciousness and practical spirit, in order to concentrate on Hegel’s neglected discussion of theoretical mind.
