The UAE aims to establish a civilian nuclear power program, with planning dating back to 2006, and is among around 15 Middle Eastern countries interested in nuclear energy, including Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. The UAE government plans to have several reactors operational by 2020 to meet one-third of its electricity needs. This analysis targets German consultancy firms to help assess their strategic deployment and prioritize entry into this new market. It also serves policymakers, investors, suppliers, and nuclear agencies in identifying the need for external advisors for safe nuclear operations.
