The debate over European integration is a central issue in the study of contemporary Europe. This book guides the reader through the most important of the integration theories and academic literature on this topic.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 13th Irish International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science, AICS 2002, held in Limerick, Ireland in September 2002. The 16 revised full papers and 17 revised short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the book. Among the topics addressed are cognitive modeling, case-based reasoning, constraint processing, data mining, evolutionary computation, intelligent agents, information retrieval, knowledge representation, reasoning, machine learning, natural language processing, neural networks, perception, AI planning, robotics, and scheduling.
The 11th European Conference on Genetic Programming, EuroGP 2008, was held in Naples, Italy, from 26 to 28 March at the University of Naples Congress Centre, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Naples. This volume includes the papers from 21 oral presentations and 10 posters presented during the conference. Topics covered reflect the current research landscape in Genetic Programming, encompassing representations, theory, operators and analysis, evolvable hardware, agents, and various applications. The rigorous, double-blind peer review process involved at least three reviewers from the international Program Committee for each submission. A total of 61 papers were submitted, resulting in a 34% acceptance rate for full papers and an overall acceptance rate of 51%, including posters. The submission and review process was facilitated by MyReview management software developed by Philippe Rigaux, Bertrand Chardon, and colleagues from Université Paris-Sud Orsay, France. Special thanks are extended to Marc Schoenauer from INRIA, France, for managing this system. Reviewers nominated keywords to specify their areas of expertise, which were matched with those chosen by authors using the software's optimal assignment feature.
