This book is published on the occasion of the extensive solo exhibition by Christine Ödlund (the first large institutional presentation of her work in Sweden). Since her first solo exhibition in 1995, Christine Ödlund (1963) has continued to create unique encounters between art, science, and music. Her artistic practice includes a wide range of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, animation, installations with living plants, electroacoustic music, and more. In 2011, Christine Ödlund was nominated for the Culture Award given by the newspaper 'Dagens Nyheter' because she is a spiritualist who, in her artwork, fuses cosmic energies with the most recent findings in the natural sciences, and because she investigates the mysteries of life

Tan draws upon psychology and neurology to create installations exploring our inner and outer lives Inspired by a drawing by neurologist Oliver Sacks representing the physiological organization of migraines, Lisa Tan (born 1973) creates a system of "open walls" allowing viewers to navigate the intersection between the nervous system and the formation of the self.

Pipilotti Rist, eine der gefeiertsten Schweizer Künstlerinnen der Gegenwart, und Richard Julin, Chefkurator der Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall, haben sich in Zürich einen Tag lang den Vorbereitungen von Rists Einzelausstellung Gravity, Be My Friend in Stockholm gewidmet.
