”Horizon„ is a book that brings together texts and inserts by artists and academics from Iceland, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden on the topic of the nature and cultural landscape, mapping, tourism and volcanoes. This post event publication also documents the exhibition “X You are Here„ and the symposium on Landscape, Society and the Individual“ at Moderna Museet, Stockholm as well as the workshops of the „Panoramic Interchange“ travelling project in Bergen, Vilnius/Nida, Reykjavik and Stockholm. Mit „Karen Kipphoff – Inszenierte Plätze / Inszenierte Körper“ erscheint die zweite Publikation der deutsch-kanadischen Künstlerin zum Thema öffentlicher Raum. Kipphoff erläutert darin die Positionierung und Gestaltung von historischen Plätzen, sie erzählt ihre Geschichten und lenkt das Augenmerk auf ihre Inszenierungen. Dabei bekommt der Leser auch ein Gespür für die Erlebbarkeit historischer Plätze und ihre Veränderungen im heutigen Stadtbild. Panoramafotografien und begleitende Texte eröffnen dabei neue Perspektiven auf öffentliche Räume in Großstädten wie Berlin, Bukarest, Montreal und Toronto. Die Publikation dokumentiert darüber hinaus die themenverwandte Medieninstallation „Staged Spaces“, die Kipphoff 2005 für die Kunsthalle Bergen/Norwegen entwickelt hat.
