This book examines Polish-Belarusian relations, which, according to the Polish historian Marcel Kosman, were 'very close, though not always idyllic' (Kosman, 1979, p. 6), or, as the Belarusian author Piotra Rudkoŭski puts it, 'Historically and culturally, Belarus and Poland are Siamese twins' (Rudkoŭski, 2007, p. 185). According to the author of this book, the nature of Polish-Belarusian relations is determined by their historical and cultural positions, identities and geopolitical situations. He underlines that Polish-Belarusian relations are subordinate to Polish-Russian relations and, to a significant extent, play a role in Belarusian-Russian relations. The author pays attention to historical and cultural determinants, Polish policy towards the East, political, economic and cultural relations, and 'difficult issues' such as historical dialogue, national minorities (Poles in Belarus and Belarusians in Poland) and border and visa traffic. He tries to understand the circumstances and international interests of both states, which undoubtedly adds to the book's value.

„Creative Environments“ serves as a sequel to the authors' previous work, expanding on computational intelligence and knowledge engineering tools that facilitate knowledge creation. The book is divided into four parts. The first part further develops knowledge creation models introduced in the earlier book, particularly focusing on the Triple Helix of academic knowledge creation and introducing the Nanatsudaki (seven waterfalls) Model, which integrates academic and organizational knowledge creation. The second part explores computational intelligence tools for knowledge acquisition through machine learning and data mining, as well as tools for debating, brainstorming, roadmapping, and supporting academic creativity. The third part discusses the application of statistics in creativity support, virtual laboratories, gaming, role-playing, knowledge representation methods, and electronic learning. The final part delves into knowledge management and philosophical issues, covering topics such as technology management in academic R&D, creative holism in the knowledge age, the role of technology in knowledge civilization, and the emergence of complex concepts in science. It concludes with a summary and a proposal for an integrated episteme of constructive evolutionary objectivism, essential for the knowledge civilization era.
