Der Text untersucht die Normung als einen wenig erforschten, aber relevanten Bereich im Vertragsrecht, Wettbewerbsrecht und der zivilrechtlichen Haftung. Dabei werden zentrale Aspekte wie Ziele, Arten von Normen und beteiligte Akteure analysiert. Besonders in einer liberalisierten Wirtschaft soll die Normung die Kompatibilität von Produkten und Dienstleistungen fördern.
