En savoir plus sur le livre
The Dalai Lama of Tibet is one of the world's most loved and respected spiritual figures. In 1998, the amazing story of this "simple Buddhist monk," as he calls himself, reached a vast audience through the release of two major films, Disney's Kundun, directed by Martin Scorsese, and Seven Years in Tibet, starring Brad Pitt. With stirring text and striking color photographs, this intimate portrait shows the Dalai Lama in his many roles, from his childhood in Old Tibet to his current life on the world stage. It also tells the history of Tibet and its people and introduces the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism to readers eager to know more about this fascinating spiritual path, now flourishing worldwide. A bonus is a personal interview with the Dalai Lama in which he speaks candidly about his reaction to the recent films about his life.
