Focusing on the advantages of syllable-based compression, this research explores methods that enhance text compression for languages with rich morphology and smaller files. It highlights the implementation of the LZW method and Huffman coding for small files, improved by a language-specific initialized dictionary. For larger files, the project XBW integrates multiple compression techniques like BWT and LZSS. Additionally, it addresses challenges in compressing poorly structured XML files and emphasizes the necessity of compressing the syllable alphabet using a compressed trie for efficient encoding.
