As Red Clark reined his horse in front of Dave Gridger's saloon, four six-shooters blazed as the saloon door opened, a man dropped to the dusty general store porch, a girl screamed, and Red Clark went into action. When the guns stopped, three of the four shooters lay dead. The fourth had hobbled his way to a horse and escaped.
