En savoir plus sur le livre

In the months before his death, Bruce Lee was finalizing a comprehensive study of Chinese martial arts, known as Kung Fu or Gung Fu. This work is published here for the first time in its entirety. Lee transformed martial arts by advocating that students should select techniques and training that fit their individual needs and fighting styles. He created Jeet Kune Do, a method that integrated elements from various masters and traditions, challenging the norm of studying under a single master. This innovative approach was groundbreaking and positioned Lee as a pioneer in the evolution of martial arts, earning him the title of "father" of many contemporary practices, including Mixed Martial Arts. The book not only covers fundamental techniques, mindset, and training methods of traditional Chinese martial arts but also delves into topics like Taoism and Zen in relation to Gung Fu, as well as fitness regimens and self-defense techniques. Additionally, it includes a "scrapbook" of Lee's anecdotes about the history and traditions of Chinese martial arts. After Lee's passing, his manuscript was completed and edited by martial arts expert John Little, with contributions from his wife, Linda Lee Cadwell, and close friend, Taky Kimura. This work is part of the Bruce Lee Library, which includes several other titles celebrating his legacy.
