A tragicomedy of midlife crisis from the author of The Prince of West End Avenue. Nicholas Kraven is a fortyish British professor of English lit at a second-rate college in the Bronx who discovers that his professional--and personal--life is adrift in a sea of troubles. More willing to compose libidinous verse to his married mistress than publish in an academic journal, Kraven realizes his clever evasions will soon fail him.
