En savoir plus sur le livre
ESORICS, the premier research-oriented conference on computer security in Europe, occurs biennially at various locations and is managed by an independent Steering Committee. The 2002 edition, organized by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and IBM Zurich Research Laboratory, was held in Zurich from October 14-16. The program committee reviewed 83 submissions from 22 countries, with 55 from Europe, the Middle East, or Africa, 16 from Asia, and 12 from North America. The leading contributors were the USA (11 submissions), Germany (9), France (7), Italy (7), Japan (6), and the UK (6). Each submission underwent evaluation by at least three program committee members or experts, with additional reviews for those co-authored by committee members. The committee chair and co-chair were not permitted to submit papers. Ultimately, 16 papers were accepted, a decrease from the 19 accepted in 2000, which had 75 submissions. The selected program encompassed a wide array of security research topics, including access control, authentication, cryptography, database security, formal methods, intrusion detection, mobile code security, privacy, secure hardware, and secure protocols. We thank all authors for their contributions in upholding the conference's standards.
