Publikace je cenným dokladem stavebních proměn města, ale nezahrnuje žádný místopisný rejstřík ani obsah, takže orientovat se ve shromážděném obrazovém materiálu v podstatě není možné.

Selbstreflexivität der Kunsttheorie in den Künstlernovellen des Realismus ist eine umfassende Untersuchung der Wechselwirkung und Selbstreflexivität von Kunsttheorie und Fiktion im Deutschen Realismus des Neunzehnten Jahrhunderts. Die Autorin setzt sich in ihrer Studie mit dem Zusammenhang des kunsttheoretischen Diskurses und seiner literarischen Thematisierung in verschiedenen Künstlernovellen des poetisch-bürgerlichen Realismus auseinander. Die ausführliche Analyse der Realismusdebatte zwischen den Jahren 1848 und 1890 und ihrer kunsttheoretischen Implikationen in der narrativen Form schließt auf eine deutliche Übereinstimmung von theoretischer Doktrin und ihrer fiktionalen Darstellung in den Texten des deutschsprachigen Realismus.
