Der 1953 in Zürich geborene Künstler Marc-Antoine Fehr schuf im Jahr 2000 einen besonderen Zyklus, indem er täglich mindestens ein Aquarell oder eine Gouache anfertigte. Im Journal de Pressy spiegelt sich seine künstlerische Tätigkeit wider, die Porträts, Interieurs, Landschaften und die unvollendete Arbeit 'Die grosse Mühle' umfasst. Alle Zeichnungen sind Queransichten in ähnlicher Größe (DIN A4), wobei das unterschiedliche Papier wesentlich zur Wirkung beiträgt. Oft in Mischtechnik aus Aquarell und Gouache ausgeführt, sind die Pressy-Blätter vor allem Malerei. Fehr betont, viele könnten auch als kleine Ölstudien entstanden sein, da sich Gouache ähnlich wie Öl immer wieder übermalen lässt. Bekannt wurde Fehr als Maler, dessen visionäre Werke, wie 'Die Versuchung des hl. Antonius', bereits in den 1980er Jahren Aufmerksamkeit erregten. Während die Neuen Wilden eine neue expressiv-figurative Malerei erprobten, verfolgte Fehr einen eigenen Weg. Phantastisch-surreale Bilder bilden eine weitere wichtige Werkgruppe in seinem Schaffen, das sich an der figurativen Malerei orientiert. Seit 1984 lebt Fehr im Burgund, wo ihn die Ruhe des Ortes und die Natur inspirieren. Viele seiner Bilder im Journal de Pressy fangen die Stille der Umgebung ein. Betrachtet man das letzte Blatt des Zyklus, entsteht der Eindruck einer melancholischen Reise durch das Jahr, die Fehr als 'eine grosse poetische Meditation über eine (meine?) Reise durchs Leben'
