A well-illustrated investigation of the Phyrgian city of Midas Kale, the legendary city of Midas which is located in the Anatolian highlands. An examination of the archaeological remains, particularly the `Midas façade', inscriptions, caves and rock carvings, is accompanied by a search for the origins of the cult of Midas and its rituals.
