Nicolas Faure has been working on the theme of Swiss landscape since the 1990s, concentrating on the blend between the Traditional and the Modern. The motorway is the meeting point of technology, architecture and a certain concept of Nature, and through his photos, Faure elicits aspects that characterise Switzerland.
Nicolas Faure's "The Order of Things" features around 100 analog photographs of garden architecture in single-family homes and settlements in Valais and Western Switzerland. The images reflect a longing for privacy and idyllic spaces, showcasing plant architectures that interact with their built environment, prompting reflections on modern cultural changes in Switzerland.
