Thomas Stevens

    Thomas Stevens fut un aventurier intrépide, réputé pour être la première personne à avoir fait le tour du monde à bicyclette. Son voyage épique, entrepris sur un vélo Ordinary (également connu sous le nom de penny-farthing), s'est déroulé d'avril 1884 à décembre 1886. Après cet exploit remarquable, Stevens a poursuivi ses explorations mondiales, notamment en cherchant Henry Morton Stanley en Afrique et en enquêtant sur les affirmations d'ascètes indiens. Il s'est finalement installé à Londres, dirigeant le Garrick Theatre.
