Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde in Österreich eine Allgemeine Anti-Duell-Liga gegründet. Die in diesem Buch veröffentlichten Vorträge zur Verbesserung des stattlichen Ehrenschutzes und zur Verwirklichung von Ehrengerichten von Lammasch und Klein dienten der Bewegung gegen das Duell als wichtige Grundlage.
