One prompt, thirteen stories . . . Moments in Space & Time, the 2019 edition of the Rough Writers Anthology, is the second book published by the Rough Writers Toastmasters of Long Beach, California. All authors are members of the club and used the same writing prompt as inspiration for their work. The prompt inspired a diversity of stories reflective of the diversity of the club’s members. From science fiction to social commentary, the range of stories is as astounding as the common threads that run through the entire book.Rough Writers has adopted and adapted the Toastmasters curriculum to not only enable writers to develop their public speaking skills but also to empower speakers to hone their craft as writers. The program gives members a space to grow their communication and leadership skills as both speakers and writers. This book is a result of their collaborative work.
