Existenciální transhumanismus spojený s jemnou neokázalou romantikou v duchu "Lovce androidů" ... :) Co víc si přát? Momentálně nejlepší komiks, který jsem četl. Vlastně je to jedna z nejsilnějších věcí, s níž jsem se kdy setkal. Dlouho mě nic tak silně a hluboce nedojalo. Ztrácel jsem se v obrazech, barvách, v příběhu, který je krásný i děsivý zároveň. V několika momentech se mi do očí vhrnuly slzy. Ale myslím, že i když se vás obsah nedotkne tak jako mě, komiks sám obstojí na tolika úrovních, že zaslouženě patří na tu nejvyšší příčku. Pokud má někdo rád atmosféru Blade Runnera nebo Ghost in the Shell, pravděpodobně si zamiluje i toto dílo, které si s nimi podle mého názoru v ničem nezadá a možná je dokonce o krok předčí. -Komiksomania Carbona a Silicius - nejnovější výrobky z laboratoří Tomorrow Fundation - prototypy nové generace robotů, kteří se mají starat o stárnoucí lidi. Jsou vychováváni v bezpečí laboratoře. Jejich touha prozkoumat okolní svět je ale přiměje k pokusu o útěk, během kterého jsou rozděleni. Každý z nich pak vede svůj vlastní život a svádí staletí trvající boj o své místo na planetě, jež trpí nedostatkem vody, je sužována politickými otřesy a klimatickými katastrofami. Carbona a Silicius je neobyčejný příběh o lidskosti, morálce a smyslu existence. Bablet se zabývá otázkami, které jsou předmětem zájmu filozofů i vědců po staletí. V komiksu je často překračována hranice mezi lidským bytím a bytím robota. Rozdíly se stírají, když lidé vytvářejí k obrazu svému tvory, mající je intelektuálně předčít. Tato angažovanost však není vtíravá a není v ní nic z propagandistického nádechu, tak charakteristického pro hesla proklamována některými kruhy. Tento komiks je především o reflexi. Bablet nechává čtenáři prostor a čas k přemýšlení. Nespěchá, nenabádá ke změně názoru. Pouze ukazuje, kam podle něj svět směřuje. Tato úvaha ale neoslabuje příběhovou rovinu. Carbona a Silicius je zároveň vášnivým příběhem o emocích a pocitech. A nic na tom nemění fakt, že hlavními postavami jsou androidi. Oni totiž také cítí. Vždyť byli stvořeni k obrazu a podobě člověka...
