Uzyskał doktorat z politologii w Instytucie Studiów Politycznych PAN oraz z judaistyki na Uniwersytecie Hebrajskim w Jerozolimie. Jest autorem wielu publikacji dotyczących historii najnowszej, stosunków polsko-żydowskich, Zagłady, II wojny światowej i archiwistyki.
