WE SPOILED MAMA. WHATEVER SHE wanted we got it for her. She loved jewelry. She wanted us to buy her a small deep freezer for her birthday which was coming up. I remember saying to myself, Nana don't go we're gonna get you the deep freezer for your birthday. Mama's birthday was October 22nd. She died October 2, 1991. A day or two before Mama died I had an attack of the worst pain ever experienced in my life. No matter what I took the pain would not subside. I tried to ignore the pain and went on to work. The sickening feeling got worse and I could not work so I left early and came home. Arriving home I headed straight for my bedroom and laid down. No lights, no noise, nothin'. I don't remember falling asleep but the phone woke me. From the conservation I could tell that Mama was the party on the other end. Mama always called us or we called her. Mac had stopped over after work so Mama wanted to know when Mac was gonna take her grocery shopping. They were deciding on what exact day. I still was not feeling well and didn't get up to talk. I thank God that we talked other times, often because u never got another chance to talk to Mama. I never said good bye. Now is my chance; Closure.
