Autor létal jako pilot vrtulníku záchranné služby v období podzim 71 - podzim 72. Tedy ke konci americké účasti v této válce. Knížka se dá přečíst za několik hodin, ale i tak si člověk může udělat aspoň drobnou představu o tom jak vypadaly mise záchranných vrtulníků.
