Luther Blissett fonctionne comme un nom collectif adopté par de nombreux individus à l'échelle mondiale depuis le milieu des années 1990, incarnant une entreprise activiste transnationale. Cette pratique a vu le jour en Italie, où un large collectif d'opérateurs culturels a adopté le nom d'un footballeur proéminent né en Jamaïque. Par la suite, ce nom a été utilisé comme pseudonyme partagé par un quatuor d'auteurs italiens pour leur roman « Q ». Cependant, depuis janvier 2000, ces écrivains ont poursuivi leur production créative sous un nouveau pseudonyme collectif : Wu Ming.
