Na een inleiding van 73 pagina's volgt een bespreking per regio in 33 hoofdstukken. Vanaf pagina 554 is praktische informatie opgenomen: accommodatie, restaurants, winkelen, amusement, reisinformatie etc. De toon van de praktische informatie is soms wat betuttelend. Voor de toerist die nog geen keuze heeft gemaakt welk gedeelte van Italië te bezoeken, is het een handige bron om thuis eens in te bladeren. Is er eenmaal een keuze gemaakt voor een regio, dan is een uitgebreide regio-gids beter om mee te nemen.
